Frequently Asked Questions
Sola Publishing does accept submissions for consideration, under certain general restrictions. Sola is intentionally limiting its publications to Bible Studies, educational resources, and work-book-style curricula, designed for individual and congregational use. In terms of what Sola may be able to do for authors, keep in mind these primary considerations:
a) Sola Publishing features authors (pastors and laity) that are a part of our confessional Lutheran community. In particular, we seek to represent the theology and values of Lutheran groups such as: LCMC, NALC, CALC, and Lutheran Core, along with their associated ministries.
b) As a not-for-profit ministry, Sola Publishing welcomes submissions by authors who are not looking for the profit of financial compensation or royalties, but are interested in sharing their work by making it available in print to an audience in the larger Church.
b) As a small enterprise, Sola Publishing are not in the position to print hard-cover books or large volumes (including academic works or scholarly treatises). We recommend that such inquiries be referred to commercial publishers.
For more information on potential submissions, contact the Submissions Editor, Rev. Steven King, at: submissions@solapublishing.com.
The mission of Sola Publishing is to provide individuals and congregations with educational resources that are trustworthy and useful, at a reasonable price. By providing solid Biblical resources, coming from a confessional Lutheran perspective, we seek to give all Christians a deeper appreciation for Holy Scripture with the distinctive focus on God's use of his Word to bring about repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
